Quick Quip… The Press Condemns Obama Over Paris Snub.

 Why ?

World leaders join in Paris march to show solidarity in the War Against Muslim terrorism

It is very refreshing to see and hear the unprecedented criticism in and by the press of Obama’s decision to boycott the memorial march in Paris last weekend. Quite frankly, he is not classy enough to be in the presence of the 40 courageous, world leaders of every faith who did attend.

daily news 1.12.15However refreshing the almost universal commendation by the liberal press for his unexcused absence in Paris might be, a cynic like the Crusty Conservative has to question the motives behind this press criticism. Could it simply be that most of the victims of the muslim attacks were journalists and that the attack on Charlie was an attack on Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Expression and the Freedom of Press. As one reporter said shortly after the attack on the French magazine – “Today We Are All French”. Maybe he should have paraphrased and said – “Today We Are All Journalists” and like NATO an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.

Would the press’ condemnation of Obama be as severe or universal if the victims of the Paris muslim attack were French Croissant Bakers?

I rather doubt it.

It is therefore not only their right, but their duty, to declare them.”
