Quick Quip – Lessons From My Father…

brian_williams_katrina…that former NBC News anchor Brian Williams probably should have learned.

One time many years ago, my father was giving me a lecture on lying and said  –

“I don’t have a good enough memory to lie”.

When I pressed him about that he simply replied that –

“to be a successful liar, you must have a very, very good memory in order to keep your stories straight. I don’t”.

It is a shame that Williams who’s first- hand accounts of events that he witnessed and/or reported on in the past seem to change from year to year and day-to-day. If he had known my father, he would have learned that –

“You Have To Have A good Memory To Be A Good Liar”.

It is therefore not only their right, but their duty, to declare them.”
