Special Note: Several readers have asked why The Crusty Conservative does not fly his American Flag on a daily basis but rather seems to do so only on special occasions and not every day.
By way of explanation, I am a proud, patriotic veteran who flies a lighted American Flag in the atrium of his home 24/7. However, I purposely do not fly an American Flag in front of my home on a daily basis . I do this so that friends, neighbors and  passers-by do not take the flag’s presence for granted. Rather, I  publicly fly my American Flag only on national holidays and specific patriotic occasions in the hope that people will notice that the flag is flying that day and be motivated to ask or research what is the significance of that particular day that would cause the Crusty Conservative to publicly fly his Flag. My hope is that in doing this, I will cause people to ask questions, investigate and learn about their American Heritage.

“… individuals may injure a whole society, by not declaring their sentiments.

It is therefore not only their right, but their duty, to declare them.”
