The Ultimate Oxymoron – “Government Intelligence”
Definition: a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.”
Government Intelligence is the ultimate oxymoron of all oxymorons. While there are many highly intelligent people in government service, it seems most of them leave their brains and common sense at the doors of their government offices. this results in dumb, counter-productive programs that cause one to stop and say “DAH? For example – Using the word “investment” in the same sentence as “government” is a classic oxymoron. It’s like using the terms bureaucratic efficiency, government intelligence or voluntary taxes.
It is always interesting how some citizens keep looking to the wonderful government to solve all problems, yet they basically screw up everything they touch. This section of “The Crusty Conservative’s” website is simply an attempt to periodically keep our readers informed of the screw ups that only can be a result of Government Intelligence.
Some recent examples of Government Intelligence:

It is therefore not only their right, but their duty, to declare them.”
